Ortus Recruitment are working with an amazing mainstream primary school in Surbiton and they are looking to recruit a dedicated Classroom Assistant to commit to a full time – long term role. This role would be general, therefore you will be working with KS1 and KS2, therefore it is important that you have more than a years’ experience working with children in a professional setting.

The role:

• Position: Classroom Assistant
• Location: Surbiton
• Full time – long term
• Immediate start
• Monday-Friday
• PAYE (£80-£90)

Responsibilities:

• Helping the class teacher prepare, plan and deliver the lesson
• Setting up equipment ready for lessons, ensuring the classroom is safe
• Ensuring the children’s physical, social and emotional needs are being met
• Working 1:1 or in small groups of students who have learning difficulties
• Supporting the class teacher in managing class behaviour
