Ortus Recruitment are working with a mainstream primary school in Teddington and they are on the hunt for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is ready to commit to a full time – long term role, Monday – Friday (8am-4:30pm). Successful candidates will earn a minimum of £85 a day. If candidates impress in a school trial they can be paid up to £100 a day, dependent on qualifications and experience.

The ideal Teaching Assistant should:

• Have experience working with children in a school setting, specifically primary
• Be flexible, proactive and patient
• Be able to communicate effectively within a team
• Be committed to work full -time
• Ability to work well under pressure

Responsibilities:

• Help the class teacher prepare, plan and deliver lessons
• Support the class teacher in managing the class behaviour
• Ensure the classroom is safe and tidy
• Keep record of the children’s progress and give feedback to the teacher
