Ortus Recruitment is working with an Outstanding Mainstream Primary School in Norwood that supports students who face barriers to learning in mainstream education. We’re on the lookout for a motivated and compassionate Behaviour Mentor to join their brilliant team on a full-time, long-term basis.

Your Day-to-Day Will Involve:

• Building positive relationships with students who have Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
• Using your sports knowledge to engage pupils in physical activity and structured routines
• Supporting pupils 1:1 and in small groups, helping manage behaviour and promote emotional regulation
• Acting as a role model and mentor, encouraging self-confidence and resilience
• Collaborating with a dedicated team of teachers and support staff

We’re Looking For:

• A patient, caring, and resilient individual with a passion for supporting vulnerable young people
• Experience working with children or young people (formal or informal – sports, youth clubs, etc.)
• A calm and proactive attitude, especially when handling challenging behaviour
• Someone who’s ready to make a genuine impact every single day
