Pay: £450-£525 PAYE Per Week (NO UMBRELLA DEDUCTIONS)
Role: 1:1 with two pupils in year 1 and Year 4
Timings: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM – FULL TIME

Ortus Recruitment is currently seeking a teaching assistant to serve as a role model and mentor for pupils.
Ortus Recruitment offers a personalised mentoring service aimed at boosting pupil attainment through our intervention programmes. Each programme is meticulously designed to help pupils reach their full potential. As a behaviour mentor, you will play a crucial role in helping challenging pupils overcome behavioural issues by providing them with a positive role model.
You will be working with 2 pupils in Year 1 and a pupil in Year 4 who have behavioural challenges. This position is located in a mainstream primary school with supportive staff members in New Barnet, EN5.
Responsibilities of a Behaviour Mentor include:
- Establishing productive working relationships with key pupils, encouraging and motivating them.
- Raising achievement by providing specialised services that help schools meet their targets and obligations.
- Acting as a friend to pupils with behavioural issues, giving them someone to confide in and trust.
- Challenging and motivating pupils, promoting and reinforcing self-esteem, and providing individual pastoral support.
