Are you a recent Graduate, eager to gain experience in schools ahead of completing your Teacher Training?

Ortus Recruitment are partnering with a fantastic, Primary School in Brixton who are currently looking for a Teaching Assistant to support in their Year 5 Class starting this September, working with pupils carrying out interventions, as well as providing support to individual students within the class.

The role:
– Assisting the teacher in delivering work with the children in the class
Supporting children with their classwork, and their reading and writing skills
– Planning and leading targeted interventions to support pupils in development areas
– Developing curricular knowledge as required by the school
– Undertaking observations of pupils and contributing to pupil records
– Supporting the class teacher with the general management and supervision of the classroom

Essential requirements:
– Recent Graduate
– A passion for working with children.
– Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
– Empathy, patience, and a compassionate approach to supporting children.

– Availabilty from Monday – Friday from 08:30am – 4pm (Full-Time, No Weekends)
