Ortus Recruitment is delighted to partner with a well-established mainstream primary school in Wandsworth, seeking a dedicated Unqualified Classroom Assistant to provide 1:1 support for pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Position Details:

• Location: Wandsworth
• Salary: £85 – £105 per day (PAYE, no umbrella fees)
• Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 08:30 am – 16:00 pm
• Start Date: Immediate
• Contract: Long-term with the potential for a permanent position based on performance

Key Responsibilities:

• Providing tailored 1:1 support to pupils with SEN, ensuring their educational and emotional needs are met
• Acting as a positive role model for all students, fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment
• Collaborating with teachers and other support staff to deliver high-quality educational experiences

Candidate Requirements:

• Recent Graduate or experienced Childcare Professional with a CACHE Level 3 qualification (or equivalent)
• Demonstrated experience working with children in educational or extracurricular settings (e.g., workshops, after-school clubs, or sports coaching)
• Genuine passion for working with children, especially those with SEN
• Strong empathy, patience, and excellent communication skills
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
• Ability to commit to the specified working hours and long-term placement
