Ortus Recruitment are working with a “Outstanding” Ofsted-rated Primary School in Wandsworth, who seek an Unqualified Classroom Teaching Assistant to join their team for the next academic year (September 2024). This role may involve working with small of large groups of children, or one to one with an individual child. Pupils at this school feel safe and enjoy their time in the classroom and the school is eager to find a Teaching Assistant who can get involved and contribute to this environment.

Role:

• Making a positive impact on the lives of children with diverse learning needs.
• Assisting the class teacher with planning and delivery of activities.
• Supporting the development of children’s language and communication skills.
• Encouraging positive behaviour and providing pastoral support to children when required.
• Providing feedback to parents and carers on children’s progress and achievements.

Requirements:

• Minimum Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.
• Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
