Ortus Recruitment is working in partnership with a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Limehouse, Tower Hamlets, to appoint a dedicated and enthusiastic Unqualified KS2 Teaching Assistant. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience supporting pupils in Upper Key Stage 2, particularly those with speech, language, and communication needs. If you’re motivated to help children reach their full potential, this could be the ideal role for you.

The Role:

Starting in September, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider school team to provide educational and emotional support to pupils. Responsibilities include:

• Assisting in the preparation and delivery of engaging, effective learning materials
• Supporting individual pupils or small groups with additional learning needs
• Promoting a positive, inclusive and safe learning environment
• Helping manage classroom organisation and behaviour
• Collaborating with staff to ensure pupils have the tools and support they need to succeed

The Ideal Candidate Will:

• Have experience working in Upper KS2, particularly in delivering speech, language and communication interventions
• Be confident working 1:1 or with small groups of children with additional educational needs (AEN)
• Demonstrate a flexible, proactive, and committed attitude
• Hold a Level 3 qualification or relevant degree (e.g., Psychology, Education, Literacy)
• Be available for a full-time, long-term position from September
