The Job Role:

• Position: Unqualified Learning Support Assistant
• Pay: £80 – £100 per day, PAYE (dependent on experience and qualifications)
• Location: Nunhead
• Role: Full Time, Long Term

The ideal candidate:

• Will have experience working alongside children in a care, school or social setting (work with vulnerable adults/young people, also considered)
• Will have a strong academic background in core subjects, educated to degree level or equivalent (desired, not essential)
• Will be passionate about working with children and dedicated to ensuring they the necessary support required
• Will have a natural calm and compassionate nature
• Will have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52)

Main responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will be required to work alongside the Class Teacher and other TA’s supporting a Year 5 class.
• The successful candidate will be responsible for leading 1:1 and small group interventions on core subjects when needed to raise academic attainment levels
• The successful candidate will be required to provide general support to pupils in the class and answer any work related questions or enquiries
• The successful candidate will be required to undertake administrative duties such as marking work, signing reading diaries and laminating/photo copying work sheets
• The successful candidate will be required to assist the Class Teacher in dismissing pupils and providing feedback/progress about the pupils to their parents/carers
