Unqualified Learning Support Assistant – Wandsworth
Ortus recruitment are looking for a Learning Support Assistant in the area of Wandsworth to work inside a Pupil Referral Unit. We’re looking for a motivated and strong induvial who is trying to take on a new challenge, you’ll be working with children who have Social Emotional Mental Health difficulties (SEMH). You’ll be working with a group of children inside a classroom environment, making sure they’re interacting with each other and creating bonds. These children are ready to develop their skills and learn with a supportive Learning Support Assistant.

This Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) carries a high reputation in its areas, it’s known for its great resources and staff. The resources provided to you will help develop the children’s learning and make sure that they’re engaged when you teach, the children aren’t able to attend mainstreams schools because they have behavioural difficulties. This means that creating a strong relationship with them is very important. The staff are experienced professionals, who are willing to help and support you along the way. They’ll make sure that you fit in with the team and support you with creating relationships with the children.

Great at adapting to new environments.
A good understanding of children with behavioural difficulties.
Have a strong passion for helping children.
Be very organised.
Restraint training (Team Teach , PRICE,MAPA) not essential.
