Ortus Recruitment is actively seeking a dedicated Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 4 pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) in a friendly and inclusive primary school in Haringey. Key Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to a Year 4 pupil with mild autism, assisting with learning activities and daily routines.
• Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to implement individual learning strategies.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Support the child’s emotional, social, and communication development.
• Assist with classroom activities and ensure the pupil remains engaged.

Requirements:

• Minimum 3–6 months’ experience working in a primary school, youth centre, or as a sports coach.
• Valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for a new DBS.
• A patient, empathetic, and proactive approach to supporting children with additional needs.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
