The Job Summary:

• SEN mixed Primary and Secondary School
• PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees (pay is dependent on experience and qualifications

Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking someone who has experience supporting SEN children, and/or vulnerable adults/young people in a care, residential, school or social (coaching, nannying, tutoring) setting. The school is Ofsted rated ‘Good’ and they have managed to maintain this rating throughout the last few years due to their diverse and inclusive learning environment for pupils as well as the positive working environment amongst staff.

Requirements:

• Must have a Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment
• Must have TWO obtainable childcare relevant references
• Minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Math
• Must have experience working alongside SEN Learners and/or vulnerable adults/young people

Main Responsibilities:

• You will be required to support the Class Teacher in supporting a Resource based year 3 class
• You will be required to help each learner follow their individual timetable
• You will be responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of each pupil
• You will be required to escort them to the in school ‘professionals’ (speech and language/occupational therapist)
• You may need to undertake administrative duties such as marking work and updating displays around the classroom
• You will be required to liaise with the Class Teacher, SENCO and the Parents/Carers to ensure each learner is getting the necessary support
