This role in particular, starts as an Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant but the school will provide the successful candidate with CPD Courses and Teacher Training so the candidate can be both upskilled and promoted where necessary, if the school is happy with your performance they are open to offering a permanent contract.

The Job Information:

• Position: Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant
• Pay: £80 – £90 per day PAYE – No hidden Agency/Umbrella company fees
• Location: Brockley
• Role: September start, full time, long term. Monday – Friday (08:30 – 16:00)

Within this role, the successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside the Class Teacher and supporting learners with special educational needs in a KS2 class, which consists of pupils from Year 1 and Year 2. The class has 8 pupils, the pupils who need the most support have 1:1 Teaching Assistants, but the successful candidate will be a General TA, providing support where necessary. You will be required to assist the Class Teacher in creating differentiated work that suits each individual learners needs and then provide support to the pupils who don’t have a 1:1. You will need to liaise with the Class Teacher, the SENCO, the Occupational and Speech and Language Therapists, as well as the Parents/Carers to provide feedback on pupil progress.

The Requirements For this Role:

• You must have experience supporting SEN Learners or vulnerable adults/young people in a care, residential, school or social (coaching, nannying, tutoring) setting
• You need to be patient and resilient
• You need to be passionate about working with children and dedicated to helping improve their engagement in learning as well as aiding their social, emotional and mental development
• You will need to be able to follow instructions from the Class Teacher effectively, as well as being able to work off of your own initiative
• You must have TWO obtainable relevant references
• You must have a clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the Update Service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
