The school is a specialist provision, which contains learners with ASD, ADD, ADHD, MLD, SLD and SEMH. The school are seeking someone who can start immediately on a full time, long term basis.

The Job Information:

• Position: Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant
• Pay: £90 – £100 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Location: Southwark, Rotherhithe
• Role: Full time, Long term (Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:00)

The ideal candidate for this position will be someone who has transferrable skills or experience by working alongside SEN pupils and/or vulnerable adults/young people in a care, residential, school or social setting. We are seeking someone who is confident in their ability to support SEN pupils as well as having patience and resilience within the role. The ideal candidate will need to be passionate about working with children, and eager to aid their development academically, emotionally. Mentally and socially.

CANDIDATES MUST HAVE TWO OBTAINABLE RELEVANT REFERENCES AND A CLEAR ENHANCED DBS ON THE UPDATE SERVICE OR BE WILLING TO PROCESS ONE THROUGH ORTUS RECRUITMENT – £52

The roles and responsibilities for the successful candidate are as follows, you will be required to be a general SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting pupils across KS2 and KS3 where necessary. You will be assigned to two different classes, and you will be given a clear timetable of what class you are due in. You will be required to assist the learners with tasks and activities provided to them by the class teacher, you will also need to liaise with the class teacher to ensure pupils are receiving the necessary support and the work is differentiated to their individual needs. Pupils in this school are incentivised by Enrichment activities, this include, indoor jungle gym, console room and art/music therapy.
