Position: Year 1 Teaching Assistant, 1:1

Schedule: Full-Time, Long-Term (Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM)
Salary: £425 – £500 per week (PAYE, no umbrella deductions)

Ortus Recruitment is seeking a dedicated Early Years Teaching Assistant for a rewarding role at an ‘Outstanding’ four-form entry primary school in Enfield, EN1, just a 10-minute walk from Oakwood Station. This full-time, long-term position offers an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about early childhood education to make a meaningful impact.

As an Early Years Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with a Year 1 pupil with Autism with no behaviour, providing tailored support to help them achieve their developmental milestones and early learning goals. This role is ideal for an individual committed to fostering the growth and development of young children, ensuring they receive the specialised care and attention they need to thrive in their educational journey.

Requirements:

• A positive, ‘can-do’ attitude with a strong commitment to supporting young learners.
• A degree in Psychology, Sociology, Drama, Educational Studies, or a related subject.
• A minimum of 3-6 months of experience working in a primary school setting.
• Knowledge or experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Proactive, with the ability to take initiative and adapt to the needs of the child and classroom.
