Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking an Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join one of our thriving mainstream primary schools. The ideal candidate will be working as a General Teaching Assistant, working alongside the class teacher in supporting a Year 4 class.

Job Summary:

• £80 – £95 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Full time, ongoing throughout the academic year
•  Immediate start

Must have:

• A clear enhanced child workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
• Two obtainable childcare relevant references
• A strong academic background – Minimum grade C in GCSE English and Math

Requirements:

• Previous experience working alongside children in a care, residential, school or social setting (Coaching, Nannying, Tutoring)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Patience and a calming attitude towards working and supporting children
• Be able to display problem solving skills and think quickly on your feet

Within this role, you will be required to work as a General Teaching Assistant, working alongside the class teacher supporting pupils within a Year 4 class. You will be responsible for undertaking administrative duties such as laminating and photocopying class work and updating/removing display boards.

You will also need to liaise with the class teacher to ensure pupils are receiving the necessary support, you will also need to liaise with the parents/carers to provide feedback on the pupils academic or behavioural progress.
