Here at Ortus Recruitment we are seeking an Unqualified Teaching Assistant to join one of our vibrant Mainstream Primary Schools on a full time, long term basis with a September start. The school is Ofsted rated ‘Outstanding’ and they have managed to maintain that impressive rating through two Ofsted inspections. The school is located in the London Borough of Lewisham, Deptford, it has plenty of transport links both busses and trains.

The Job Summary:

• Pay: £80 – £95 per day, PAYE – No hidden agency/umbrella company fees
• Start date: September 2023
• Role: Full time, Long term, Monday – Friday (08:30 – 16:00)

Must haves for this role:

• A clear enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment – £52
• TWO obtainable childcare relevant references
• Minimum Grade C in GCSE English and Math

Requirements for this role:

• You must have transferrable experience working alongside children, ideally in a care, residential, school or social (coaching, nannying, tutoring)
• You must be able to commit to full time, long term work with a September 2023 start
• You will need to be passionate about working alongside children and dedicated to aiding their development both academically and behaviourally
• You will need to be able to easily build a positive rapport with both staff and students

Main Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for assisting the Class Teacher in supporting a Year 3 class
• You will be a general TA, responsible for working in small groups around the class and assisting the class teacher with preparation and planning
• You will be required to undertake administrative duties around the classroom such as Photocopying, laminating and updating/removing display boards.
