The role:

• Position: Unqualified Teaching Assistant
• Pay: £80 – £95 per day, PAYE (No hidden agency fees/umbrella company fees)
• Location: Lewisham, Lee Green
• Role: Full time, Long term (Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:00)

The ideal candidate:

• Will have experience working alongside children, vulnerable adults/young people in a care, school or social setting
• Will be passionate about working alongside children and dedicated to helping them develop key life skills (Emotional and Social)
• A clear Enhanced Child Workforce DBS on the update service or be willing to process one through Ortus Recruitment (£52).
• Will be reliably able to commute to the school.

Main responsibilities:

• You will be required to support a year 4 class who need assistant raising their attainment levels in core subjects
• You will be responsible for supervising pupils in and around the school building, in the lunch hall and the playground
• You will be responsible for helping the pupils maintain a positive attitude to learning and engaging positively in lessons
• You will be required to undertake administrative tasks such as marking homework/ work and reading diaries as well as photocopying and laminating

The school is Ofsted rated ‘Good’ and is located in the heart of Lewisham, Lee Green. The headteacher is eager to welcome a new member of staff to their staff team and give them all the tools and help needed to thrive in this role.
