A primary school in Selhurst is seeking a dedicated Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work with pupils requiring extra support, ensuring they flourish both academically and socially.

The Role:
As a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide focused, tailored support to help children with SEN overcome barriers to learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small-group support for Year 1 pupils with SEN, such as autism and speech delays.
• Assist the class teacher with adapting lesson content to meet individual needs.
• Employ behaviour management techniques to encourage positive engagement.
• Support the development of key skills, including literacy, numeracy, and social interaction.
• Work with the SENCO to implement and review Individual Education Plans (IEPs).

About You:

• Experience working with SEN pupils, especially in Key Stage 1.
• Knowledge of effective teaching strategies for supporting young children with SEN.
