The Role:
As a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with the class teacher to provide tailored support to students with additional needs. Your goal is to create a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for every child.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support for Year 1 students with SEN, including autism and developmental delays.
• Help adapt classroom activities and resources to meet individual learning needs.
• Foster positive behaviour and social interaction skills.
• Monitor and track student progress, sharing updates with the SENCO and class teacher.
• Assist in creating sensory and calming strategies to support emotional well-being.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN children, particularly in Key Stage 1.
• Knowledge of effective SEN strategies, such as visual aids and sensory tools.
• Patient, empathetic, and dedicated to helping students thrive.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
