A vibrant primary school in Chiswick is looking for a dedicated Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with students who require additional support in their academic and social development. This is a fantastic opportunity to help young learners flourish in a nurturing environment.

The Role:
As a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with the class teacher to deliver personalised support for students with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, and speech and language difficulties. You will assist with classroom activities, help manage behaviour, and support students’ social and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support for Year 1 students with SEN.
• Assist with adapting resources and lessons to meet individual learning needs.
• Help with classroom management and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.
• Support students’ personal, social, and emotional development.
• Collaborate with the SENCO and class teacher to monitor student progress.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN children, ideally in Key Stage 1.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of SEN strategies and how to apply them in the classroom.
• Empathetic, patient, and passionate about helping young learners succeed.
