A primary school in Feltham, Hounslow, is seeking a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work with students requiring extra learning support. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real difference in young children’s lives.

The Role:
As a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with children who have a range of SEN, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and behavioural needs. You will provide tailored support to help them access the curriculum and build the social and emotional skills they need for future success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and group support for Year 1 students with SEN.
• Assist the class teacher in differentiating lessons and adapting materials to meet student needs.
• Help foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
• Support students with personal, social, and emotional development.
• Collaborate with the SENCO and other professionals to ensure individual education plans (IEPs) are implemented effectively.

About You:

• Previous experience working with SEN students, particularly in Key Stage 1.
• Strong understanding of SEN strategies and the ability to tailor support to individual needs.
• Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children’s development.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
