A primary school in Feltham is seeking a dedicated Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant to work closely with students who need extra support. This role provides a rewarding opportunity to help young learners with a range of SEN needs, ensuring they have the best start in their educational journey.

The Role:
As a Year 1 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide targeted support to students with SEN, helping them to engage with lessons and develop key social and academic skills. You will work closely with the class teacher to create a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, tailoring activities to meet the individual needs of students.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support for Year 1 students with SEN.
• Assist with adapting lesson plans and resources to meet individual learning needs.
• Support students with personal, social, and emotional development.
• Help manage behaviour and maintain a positive classroom environment.
• Work with the SENCO to track and monitor student progress.

About You:

• Previous experience working with SEN students, particularly in a Key Stage 1 setting.
• Strong understanding of SEN strategies and how to implement them effectively.
• Excellent communication skills and a nurturing, patient approach.
• Passionate about making a difference in children’s lives.
