Year 1 Teaching Assistant | Full-Time | September Start | Feltham | 1:1 SEN Support

Ortus Recruitment is excited to offer an opportunity for a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a friendly and inclusive primary school in Feltham. Starting in September, this full-time role focuses on supporting a Year 1 student with special educational needs (SEN) to help them achieve their full potential in a mainstream classroom setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored 1:1 support to a Year 1 student with SEN, adapting activities to meet their individual learning needs
• Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation, ensuring all resources are ready and suitable for the student
• Lead small group interventions to reinforce learning in literacy and numeracy
• Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment, supporting the student’s social and emotional development
• Track the student’s progress and work closely with the SENCO, parents, and teachers to update and refine support strategies
