Year 1 Teaching Assistant | Immediate Start | Brent
Ortus Recruitment is currently looking to fill the position of Year 1 Teaching Assistant for one of our mainstream primary schools situated in Stonebridge, within the London borough of Brent. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the classroom teacher, providing support within a general classroom setting. It’s important to note that you will be working with a diverse group of students, including some who have special needs such as Autism, Dyslexia, and ADHD. Your role will involve assisting these students, as well as supporting the overall classroom environment to ensure a positive and inclusive learning experience for all.
What will you be doing?
- Running one-to-one and group interventions
- Helping the class teacher with preparing the class
- Managing behaviour
- Giving feedback to the class teacher and parents
- Raising attainment within a classroom
what are the requirements?
- A valid DBS on the update service or willing to apply for one
- 3 to 6 months of classroom experience
- Some knowledge or experience working with SEN
- Proactive
- Available Monday to Friday 8 am to 4 pm
