A friendly and inclusive primary school in Purley is looking for a Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team. This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about helping children overcome challenges and develop both academically and socially.

The Role:
As a Year 2 SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide personalised support to students with SEN. Your goal will be to create an engaging and inclusive environment where every child feels supported.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer one-on-one and group support to Year 2 students with SEN, such as autism, speech delays, and sensory processing challenges.
• Adapt lesson resources and activities to suit individual needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and encourage teamwork among students.
• Monitor and track progress, providing feedback to the SENCO.
• Assist in fostering independence and confidence in learning tasks.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN children, particularly in Key Stage 1.
• Understanding of effective SEN strategies and approaches.
• A patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic attitude.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
