Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant or Learning Support Assistant looking for the opportunity to support children with special educational needs? Are you passionate about having a positive impact on children’s lives?

The role:

You will work on a 1:1 basis with a Year 3 child who has Downs Syndrome, has an ASC diagnosis and Speech, Language and Communication needs. The child requires someone who is assertive, reliable, empathetic and patient. You will need to build a positive rapport with the child and be dedicated to having a significant impact on the child’s acedemic life.

Main Expectations:

• 3+ months experience supporting children with SEN
• Have a level 3 qualification, e.g. CACHE level 3 or a degree in a relevant subject e.g. psychology or education (desirable)
• Strong numeracy/literacy capabilities
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
