Job Title: Year 3 Teaching Assistant – Supporting a Child with Autism and ADHD
Location: Dollis Hill, Brent
Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term, Term-Time
Salary: £85 – £100 Daily (PAYE)

We are seeking a dedicated and patient Teaching Assistant to join the team in Year 3, supporting a young student with autism and ADHD. Your role will be instrumental in providing tailored guidance, encouragement, and a stable learning environment that empowers this child to thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement an EHCP tailored to the student’s needs.
- Assist the child with day-to-day classroom activities and provide targeted support in specific subjects.
- Foster social skills, independence, and self-regulation, using strategies and positive reinforcement to manage challenging behaviours.
- Adapt learning materials and approaches to accommodate the child’s unique learning style.
- Monitor progress and communicate regularly with teachers and parents/carers to celebrate achievements and discuss next steps.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience in working with children with autism, ADHD, or similar additional needs (school or care setting experience is ideal).
- A calm, patient, and nurturing demeanour with a genuine passion for helping children achieve their best.
- Strong communication skills for liaising with teachers, parents, and external professionals.
- Adaptability and creativity in tailoring support strategies that foster inclusion and engagement.
- Relevant qualifications in education, childcare, or special educational needs are preferred but not essential.
