Ortus Recruitment is working closely with a school based in the London Borough of Wandsworth, who are seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join their team and support a year 3 class.

The Year 3 Teaching Assistant Position:

• Working 1:1 and in small groups to engage with SEN or low attaining pupil.
• Liaising with the class teacher to offer expert support.
• Lead focus groups for Literacy, Reading, writing and Numeracy.
• Conducting pupil observations and reporting back to the class teacher and/or SENCO.
• Getting involved in the school community.

Requirements:

• Recent Graduate with a strong academic background
• Experience with children
• SEN Experience – desirable (Experience with Autism, Down Syndrome etc.)
• Proactive, reliable, and committed
• Confident across the primary school curriculum
