A primary school in South Norwood is looking for a Year 4 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide essential support to students with additional learning needs. This is an excellent opportunity to help young learners thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role:
As a Year 4 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work with students with SEN, including autism, ADHD, and behavioural challenges. You will provide both one-on-one and small group support, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to succeed and feel confident in the classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to Year 4 students with SEN.
• Adapt lesson plans and activities to meet individual learning needs.
• Assist with behaviour management, helping students remain focused and engaged.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to monitor and track student progress.
• Support the development of students’ social, emotional, and academic skills.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN students, particularly in Key Stage 2.
• Knowledge of SEN strategies and how to implement them effectively in the classroom.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Patient, empathetic, and passionate about making a difference in children’s lives.
