Ortus Recruitment are looking to recruit a proactive and resilient individual to take on the role of Behaviour Mentor and Learning Assistant in a mainstream, inclusive Primary school in Hayes, London Borough of Hillingdon.

The role will require the successful learning assistant to work on a 1:1 basis to support with behaviour management. The Year 4 Behaviour Mentor/Learning Assistant will be encouraging and dedicated to helping the child overcome learning barriers and eliminating concerning behaviours.

Behaviour Mentor/Learning Assistant responsibilities:

• Have a empathetic and enthusiastic approach to teaching
• Supporting behaviour management on a 1:1 basis
• Encourage participation from pupils with additional needs
• Strong communication skills to liaise with parents and assist class teacher effectively
• Engage students confidently with the curriculum and help them raise attainment

Job Requirements:

• 3+ months experience supporting behaviour management (desirable)
• Minimum 2:2 degree in a relevant subject e.g. Maths, English, psychology or education (desirable)
• Strong numeracy/literacy capabilities
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
