Ortus Recruitment are recruiting 2 flexible and dedicated graduates with classroom experience to take on the role of Teaching Assistant in a welcoming Year 4 class in a mainstream, Ofsted-rated ‘good’ Primary School.

Main Responsibilities:

• Ability to take initiative, be confident and assertive
• Work alongside class teacher to manage classroom behaviour, keep classroom organised and liaise with parents/carers
• Lead numeracy and literacy interventions in small groups to raise low attainment levels and reach targets
• Confidently engage pupils with the KS2 curriculum
• Ensure a safe and positive environment for social, emotional and academic development to thrive

Main Expectations:

• 3+ months experience supporting KS2 children (desirable)
• Have a level 3 qualification, e.g. CACHE level 3 or a degree in a relevant subject e.g. psychology or education
• Knowledge of the KS2 curriculum (desirable)
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
