Ortus recruitment is currently working with our partnered mainstream primary school based in the Lambeth Borough, who seek an experienced Classroom Assistant to support the year 5 class. The school has a ’Good’ Ofsted rating and would like a new member to join the classroom to help assist with behaviour management. This role is perfect for you if you are looking for a September start as the school will be trialling/interviewing before the end of this academic year.

Requirements:

• Available to work from Monday – Friday (08:30am – 16:00pm)
• Availability for trial/interview
• A degree or relevant qualifications in Education, Maths, English, Sciences, Psychology, Drama, or Performing Arts or related field
• Strong understanding of working with children/ young people, e.g., Youth Work, Mentoring, Tutoring, Childcare, Voluntarily
• Experience working with Challenging Behaviour
• Great communication and Interpersonal skills
• Genuine passion for supporting young learners to achieve
