A dynamic primary school in New Addington is looking for a Year 5 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support to pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The Role:
In this position, you will work one-on-one and in small groups to help Year 5 pupils overcome learning challenges, develop socially, and thrive academically.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored support for Year 5 pupils with SEN, such as autism and SEMH needs.
• Assist in delivering engaging and differentiated lessons in collaboration with the class teacher.
• Use sensory tools and other resources to support emotional and behavioural regulation.
• Work with the SENCO to develop and monitor individualised support plans.
• Encourage pupils to build independence and confidence in their learning.

About You:

• Previous experience working with SEN pupils, ideally in Key Stage 2.
• Knowledge of effective strategies for supporting social, emotional, and behavioural development.
• Patient, empathetic, and committed to creating an inclusive learning environment.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
