A primary school in Shirley is seeking a Year 5 SEN Teaching Assistant to help students reach their full potential through tailored support.

The Role:
As a Year 5 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils to ensure they feel supported both academically and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support for Year 5 pupils with SEN, including autism and behavioural needs.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to create accessible and engaging lesson plans.
• Assist pupils in developing their independence and social skills.
• Monitor progress and provide constructive feedback to the SENCO and parents.
• Use creative methods to overcome barriers to learning and encourage confidence.

About You:

• Experience supporting SEN pupils, especially in Key Stage 2.
• Knowledge of strategies like visual timetables and positive reinforcement.
• Caring, proactive, and enthusiastic about helping children succeed.
• Strong organisational and interpersonal skills.
