A primary school in Feltham is looking for a Year 5 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide dedicated support to children with Special Educational Needs (SEN), helping them access the curriculum and build the skills needed for their academic and personal development.

The Role:
As a Year 5 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will assist the class teacher in delivering lessons tailored to the needs of students with SEN, including those with autism, ADHD, and dyslexia. You will help students achieve their learning goals, offering one-on-one and small group support while fostering a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide personalised support for Year 5 students with SEN.
• Adapt lesson plans and learning resources to meet individual needs.
• Help manage behaviour and encourage positive social interactions.
• Assist in monitoring student progress and adjusting support plans as needed.
• Work collaboratively with the SENCO, teachers, and external professionals to ensure students receive the best possible support.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN students, ideally in Key Stage 2.
• Knowledge of SEN strategies and the ability to implement them effectively.
• Strong communication skills and a patient, empathetic approach.
• Enthusiastic about working with children and supporting their development.
