A welcoming primary school in Norbury is looking for a Year 5 SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on helping children develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role:
As a Year 5 SEN Teaching Assistant, you’ll provide targeted support to students with additional needs, helping them overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer one-on-one and group support to Year 5 students with SEN, such as dyslexia and autism.
• Collaborate with the class teacher to adapt learning materials and create an inclusive environment.
• Foster positive behaviour and encourage social development.
• Monitor and record student progress to share with the SENCO.
• Develop and implement creative strategies to keep students engaged.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN students, ideally in Key Stage 2.
• Knowledge of SEN strategies, including multisensory approaches to learning.
• Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic about supporting children.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
