Ortus Recruitment are currently working with a 3-form entry primary school in Hammersmith and Fulham, who have recently been graded as “Good with Outstanding features” in a recent OFSTED report. We are currently seeking an experienced SEN Teaching assistant to join them on a long term basis, the role is due to start immediately however the school are willing to wait until September for the right candidate.

Our Partner school is based in the London Borough of Hammersmith and Fulham, so transport links are excellent. The successful candidate will be working with 1-2-1 with a child with High Functioning Autism (ASC/ASD) in Year 5 as well as providing general classroom assistance.

Ideally looking applicants will have experience around children and with Autism and/or challenging behaviour, although the SLT at this school are extremely supportive and experience so they are happy to support candidates, helping them to develop within the role.

This is a full-time role working Monday to Friday with working hours of 8.30am- 4pm.

Requirements:

· Experience supporting SEN (Autism/SEMH/ADHD etc).

· Strong Academic Background (Preferably Graduate).

· Understanding of supporting Children.

· Reliable, proactive & flexible.

· Clear written and spoken communicator.
