Ortus Recruitment are recruiting a proactive and experienced Year 6 Classroom Assistant to support in a year 6 class to raise attainment in preparation for SATs.

The Year 6 pupils are at a crucial time in their primary school lives with SATs approaching and require an experienced Teaching Assistant who can confidently lead numeracy and literacy interventions in small groups and support children on a 1:1 basis to reach set targets.

The successful individual will join a mainstream, Ofsted rated ‘good’ school and work alongside the classroom teacher and the Senior Leadership Team, who offer motivation every step of the way. This role also comes with the oppurtunity to progress onto a Teacher Training programme in partnership with the school.

The UKS2 Classroom Assistant MUST:

• have 3+ months experience supporting children in UKS2
• have experience working with children with additional needs
• have strong numeracy/literacy skills
• have adept knowledge of the UKS2 curriculum
• be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
