A primary school in Addiscombe is searching for a dedicated Year 6 SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils who require additional help as they prepare for their transition to secondary school. This role is ideal for someone who thrives on creating positive changes for children with diverse needs.

The Role:
As a Year 6 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will provide targeted support to students with SEN, helping them build the skills and confidence needed for their next stage of education. You’ll work as part of a team to ensure all students feel valued and empowered.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver tailored one-on-one and small group support for Year 6 students with SEN, including ADHD, dyslexia, and social-emotional challenges.
• Assist with adapting lesson plans to suit individual learning needs.
• Promote positive behaviour and social skills development.
• Work closely with the SENCO to implement effective support plans.
• Encourage student participation and resilience in their learning journey.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN students in Key Stage 2.
• Knowledge of behaviour management and SEN strategies.
• Empathetic, organised, and passionate about education.
• Strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with students and staff.
