The Role:
As a Year 6 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students who have SEN, providing targeted support in core subjects and helping them build their confidence. You will also assist with managing behaviour, offering one-on-one and small group interventions, and working alongside the class teacher to ensure that each student is able to succeed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide one-on-one and small group support to Year 6 students with SEN.
• Help adapt learning resources and lesson plans to meet individual needs.
• Assist with SATs preparation and provide targeted support in key subjects like literacy and numeracy.
• Work closely with the SENCO and class teacher to monitor progress and adjust support strategies.
• Support students in managing behaviour and encourage positive classroom engagement.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN students, particularly in a Key Stage 2 setting.
• Knowledge of the Year 6 curriculum and strategies to help students prepare for SATs.
• Patience, empathy, and a passion for helping students achieve their full potential.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
