A primary school in Purley is looking for a dedicated Year 6 SEN Teaching Assistant to provide vital support to pupils with additional needs in their final year of primary education.

The Role:
As a Year 6 SEN Teaching Assistant, you will help pupils achieve their academic potential and prepare for the next stage of their learning journey.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide focused support for Year 6 pupils with SEN, including autism and SEMH needs.
• Assist in preparing pupils for SATs through targeted interventions and differentiated activities.
• Support social and emotional development, promoting resilience and confidence.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement and monitor support plans.
• Help pupils manage transitions and prepare for secondary school routines.

About You:

• Experience working with SEN pupils in Key Stage 2, particularly Year 6.
• Knowledge of SEN strategies, including behaviour management and emotional regulation.
• Proactive, empathetic, and motivated to make a difference.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
