The school is looking for an assertive and experienced Teaching Assistant to support in a Year 6 class to raise attainment and help pupils reach set targets in preparation for SATs.

**Candidates must be able to commit to a long-term and full-time role (Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm)**

The role:

• Work alongside class teacher to manage classroom behaviour, keep classroom organised and liaise with parents/carers
• Support children with SEN on a 1:1 or group basis
• Lead numeracy, literacy and reading interventions in small groups to raise low attainment levels and reach set targets

**Individuals who have recently graduated from university with a minimum 2:2 degree in psychology, childhood studies, maths, English or other relevant degree would be ideal**

Main Expectations:

• Minimum 2:2 degree in a relevant subject e.g. English, Maths, Psychology
• Strong numeracy/literacy skills
• Knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
