This mainstream, Ofsted-rated ‘good’ school is looking for a Year 6 Teaching Assistant, who is encouraging, assertive and patient to support children with additional needs on a 1:1 basis.

The school is located in the bustling London Borough of Camden – an area with well-known attractions such as The British Museum and The British Library. There is an abundance of lovely parks, cafes, resturants and transportation links to ensure easy accessbility from door-to-door.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in Year 6 as well as adept knowledge of the KS2 curriculum to effectively engage children in lessons and interventions in order to raise attainment and prepare pupils for SATs. The individual will also need prior experience working amongst SEN children to ensure effective support and development can take place.

Year 6 Teaching Assistant Expectations:

• 3-6 months Year 6 classroom experience
• 3+ months SEN experience
• Minimum 2:2 grade in relevant degree e.g. psychology or educational studies or a Cache Level qualification
• Strong literacy, numeracy and communication skills
• Good level of knowledge of the KS2 curriculum
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references

Year 6 Teaching Assistant Job Details:

• Immediate Start
• Long-term and full-time
• Daily rate of £70 – £85 per day
• Located in London Borough of Camden
