Year 6 Teaching Assistant

We are working with a thriving primary school located in the heart of Tulse Hill, committed to creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for all students. The school is looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Teaching Assistant to join their Year 6 team and contribute to the growth and development of the pupils.
Role Overview:
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting the Year 6 class teacher to ensure the educational and social development of pupils. This role will focus particularly on providing tailored support to a student with Autism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual or small group support to pupils, especially a child with Autism.
- Assist in classroom activities, including planning, preparation, and implementation.
- Foster an inclusive and positive atmosphere within the classroom.
- Observe and track pupil progress, offering feedback where necessary.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and support staff to ensure the best outcomes for every student.
Essential Qualifications & Experience:
- A degree in Education or a related field (Graduate in Education) OR
- A Level 5 qualification in Teaching and Education (such as a Diploma in Education and Training).
Desirable Skills:
- Previous experience supporting Key Stage 2 pupils, with an emphasis on Autism.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A genuine passion for helping students reach their full potential.
- Patience, empathy, and a caring approach to supporting students.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and independently when required.
Additional Information:
- Competitive daily rate of £89 – £105 (PAYE, no hidden fees or deductions).
- Full-time role with an immediate start.
