The school is looking a a assertive and experienced Teaching Assistant to support in a Year 6 class to raise attainment and help pupils reach set targets in preparation for SATs.

The role is full time and long term and requires the individual to reliably commute to Camden for the academic year, there is also potential to secure a permanent role and/or Teacher Training in partnership with the school.

The role:

• Work alongside class teacher to manage classroom behaviour, keep classroom organised and liaise with parents/carers
• Support children with SEN on a 1:1 basis
• Lead numeracy and literacy interventions in small groups to raise low attainment levels and reach set targets

Main Expectations:

• Minimum 2:2 degree in a relevant subject e.g. psychology or education (desirable)
• Strong numeracy/literacy skills
• Knowledge of the KS2 curriculum (desirable)
• Must be able to provide: an enhanced DBS (or willing to apply for one through Ortus Recruitment), proof of Right to Work in the UK and 2 references
