Ortus Recruitment is seeking a compassionate and motivated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic primary school in Feltham. This full-time position, beginning in September, focuses on providing 1:1 support to a Year 1 student with special educational needs (SEN).

Key Responsibilities:

• Offer individualized 1:1 support to a Year 1 student with SEN, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively
• Assist the class teacher with preparing and delivering engaging lessons that cater to the student’s needs
• Lead small group activities to reinforce learning and social development
• Create a nurturing and supportive environment that fosters the student’s confidence and independence
• Monitor and report on the student’s progress, working closely with the SENCO and parents to adjust support strategies as needed
