Ortus Recruitment is partnering with a vibrant mainstream primary school in Clapham Junction to appoint an experienced Classroom Assistant to work 1:1 with a Year 2 pupil with ADHD and challenging behaviour.

This role is ideal for candidates who have prior experience working with pupils who require behavioural support and thrive in a structured, patient, and empathetic environment.

Role Overview:

• Providing tailored, 1:1 support to a child with ADHD in Year 2
• Assisting the teacher in managing behaviour and engagement within the classroom
• Implementing strategies that promote focus, routine, and emotional regulation
• Supporting the pupil’s learning journey while building trust and consistency

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• Proven experience supporting children with ADHD or similar needs
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, grounded presence
• Ability to work collaboratively with school staff and families
• A resilient, reflective, and nurturing approach to education
