We’re currently recruiting on behalf of a supportive and ambitious mainstream primary school in West Norwood, seeking a Learning Support Assistant to work both 1:1 with a Year 5 pupil with behavioural needs and support the class teacher with whole-class behaviour management.

This role is suited to a confident and professional individual with experience in behaviour support who can act as a positive influence and strong role model for pupils.

Key Duties:

• Working closely with a Year 5 pupil to provide behavioural and emotional support
• Assisting the class teacher in promoting a calm and focused learning environment
• Supporting pupils with social-emotional regulation during lessons and break times
• Helping implement behaviour plans and strategies consistently throughout the school day

We’re Looking For:

• Experience supporting pupils with behavioural needs, ideally in KS2
• Strong classroom presence and confidence managing group dynamics
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
• A team player who can support both individual pupils and the wider class
