We are working in partnership with a well-regarded mainstream primary school in Stockwell to recruit a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant for a full-time position starting in September 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic and skilled HLTA to join a welcoming and inclusive school community committed to providing high-quality education and support for all pupils.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support teachers in planning, preparing, and delivering high-quality lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2.
• Deliver pre-planned lessons and provide whole-class cover in the absence of the class teacher.
• Lead targeted intervention sessions to support pupil progress, particularly for those with additional needs.
• Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of pupil progress in collaboration with teaching staff.
• Promote positive learning behaviours and contribute to the wider life of the school.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

• HLTA status or equivalent relevant qualifications and experience.
• Proven experience supporting teaching and learning within a UK primary school setting.
• Confidence in managing whole-class teaching responsibilities when required.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
• A proactive and flexible approach, with a genuine passion for supporting children’s learning and development.
• A strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
